David Warrender – Chief Executive
David is the CEO and founder of Innovation Point.
His role as CEO follows on from his previous position as Director for Digital Wales for Welsh Government where he was responsible for establishing and leading the Digital Wales programme, growing the ICT & tech economy in Wales and starting projects such as the Digital Summit, the Digital Pathways skills initiative and for leading Welsh Government’s partnership role on external initiatives such as the Alacrity Foundation, the National Software Academy, and the research foundation with Airbus.
Before joining Welsh Government, David spent ten years at Accenture, the global consulting organization, where he was a partner. At Accenture he was focused on supporting businesses in the Communications and High Tech sectors, working internationally with clients such as Vodafone, EE and O2, having responsibility for both defining and leading strategic change programmes.
Richard Condon - 5G & IoT Accelerator Wales Manager
Richard is 5G Wales Manager for the 5G Commission to Welsh Government, a leadership role which involves working closely with key stakeholders including a 5G Advisory Board, the 5G industry, Corporate, Public Sector and Investment partners.
With 20+ years’ experience as founder of several successful technology startups in the fields of software and ecommerce. Richard’s previous roles have included 18 years as CEO of the London listed ecommerce platform company Netalogue Technologies plc.
In 2018, Richard also helped lead Wales' first Internet of Things Accelerator in Cardiff. Working closely with the programme's key stakeholders including Airbus, Sony & RS Components and providing mentorship to 10 high-growth potential IoT companies who re-located to Wales from locations as far afield as Copenhagen and New York.
